Y10 blog feedback October 2024 MOHAMAD, Rose WWW: A fantastic start to Media Studies – well done for mostly completing all your blog work! Your fruit bowl is creative and well designed and showcases your technical ability. It is not surprising that you are looking forward to the coursework component based on your technical ability. It is also promising that you are aiming for a top Grade for your GCSE grade – let’s achieve this! EBI: The Denotation and Connotation blog when you analyse the Nike advert is very brief for a typical analysis you should be picking out 3 to 4 examples for each (this is usually a 12-mark question). Also, the camerawork blog towards the end the font is different – please can you edit this so each blog has the same style font. Camera movement and editing: blog tasks

Blog tasks: 1) Pick  three   aspects of  camera movement  in the Minority Report clip. Identify the  type  of camera movement and write about why the director chose to use that camera movement in the scene and what effect it has on the audience. Zoom: the director might have chosen to put a scene where the camera is zoomed on the protagonist to show his face and his emotional state and what he may be feeling and thinking at the time. It also  exaggerates the intensity of the scene. Tilt: The director has used tilt to show in this case both the "villain" and the "hero" is a different angle which in this case is higher and gives us a larger perspective. Dolly/tracks: The camera moves to track the action smoothly and in this case it was in a chase an shows all of the different events happening and what is going on.it also is moving the camera to a similar pace that the characters are going in which gives us their point of view. 2) Pick  two...

Camerawork blog task

Blog tasks: 1) Pick  three  camera  shots  from the Doctor Who scene and explain what type of shot it is and what meanings or effect they have on the audience. 1 .In second-0:30 they put the actors face close up (CU) which allows the audience to see their emotional reaction and in this clip she is frustrated and felt left out. The director may have put the close up to show her facial expressions, and how she feels. This gives the viewers a clearer view of the character and their facial expressions as well as small detail that you might not be able to see from a far. 2 .In the second 0:53 they show the actors surroundings and the setting. It is shown to be a long shot which shows a lot of the background. This also gives the onlookers a wider perspective of the environment and shows us anything he director might want us to see and notice.  3. In second 0:23 there is a 2 shot which shows two of the actors and in the clip it is a medium close up. This allows ...

Fruit bowl task

For this fruit bowl I used the magic wand tool to click on the area I wanted to insert the photo in. I also used the resizing tool to adjust the photo to the size I wanted it to be. The theme I went for was fortnite and I copy and pasted the photo so I could out it into the different shapes of the fruit bowl. In this fruit bowl I used normal colours to paint onto the fruits such as red for the apple. I used the paint tool to insert the colours I wanted to the fruits etc. In this fruit bowl I used the eye dropper tool to choose which colour I wanted from the picture I use from Coraline.
