Conglomerate ownership is where a bigger company for example Disney owns smaller companies which in this scenario is marvel and ,marvel made black widow.
3) Analyse the film trailer for Black Widow. What aspects of the trailer tell you this is a big-budget blockbuster movie?
Some features that tells us the film was made with a big budget blockbuster is by there being well-known actors and the protagonist being very well-known who is Scarlett Johansson, there are also lots of different settings and locations such as:
- Sæbø, Ørsta, Møre og Romsdal, Norway.
- Budapest, Hungary.
- Åndalsnes, Rauma, Møre og Romsdal, Norway.
- Zoltán utca 18, Budapest, Hungary. (Where Natasha meets Yelena in Budapest)
- Morocco.
There is also a complex narrative which is hard for the audience to follow, The producers for black widow also had a very big budget for CGI and graphics to create climactic and explosive shoot outs (in Black widow).
4) How was Black Widow promoted to an audience? List at least three different methods used by the film's marketing campaign and why they were effective in promoting the film.
-They used a well-known actor being Scarlett Johansson and this is effective because she has a large platform and lots of fans who will then support the movie and want to watch it because she's in it.
-A poster and this is effective because it includes those who are featured in the movie and it also gives an insight of what type of movie it will be by the setting and costumes they are wearing.
-They also advertised it around social media platforms and things like buses etc and this is effective as people will see it and be aware of the movie coming out and potentially want to watch it and people will spread the word about.

6) Would you consider Black Widow a successful Hollywood blockbuster? Why?
I would not as normally for marvel movies they make much more profit than that and in this case they only made £179million in profit however £100 million of that went to marketing. I think the main reason to why they didn't make that much was because it came out in Covid-19 times which means less people could go out to watch it.
7) Who regulates the film industry in the UK?
BBFC
BBFC
8) What age rating was Black Widow given? Why?
12A and I think it was that rating because if it had been higher they would have made less as younger people wouldn't be able to watch it but they want as many people to watch it as they can.
9) Read this feature on Marvel using a fan's tweet to help market the film. Why is audience interaction such an important aspect of modern film marketing?
It is very important as more more people interact with it the more attention the movie gets which gets more people to watch it as they are interested in what the movie has.
