Create a new blogpost called 'Introduction to Newspapers' and answer the following questions:
1) What type of news can you typically find in a tabloid newspaper?
In tabloids we usually see more photographs, report on major news, a lot more showbiz gossip, entertainment, sport, and best sellers.
2) What type of news can you typically find in a broadsheet newspaper?
Broadsheets tend to have more serious, have smaller fonts, more advanced use of language, fewer photographs, tend to have lower circulation figures than tabloids.
3) If someone is left-wing, which political party in the UK are they most likely to support? Which newspapers would they be likely to read?
Left leaning is apart of labour party and those people are more socialist, more liberal, equality and they would read the daily mail.
4) If someone is right-wing, which political party in the UK are they most likely to support? Which newspaper would they be most likely to read?
Right wing are more conservative, they benefits the states not so much society, private owned businesses and they are more likely to read the times.
5) Why has there been a decline in newspaper sales in the last 50 years?
There has been a gradual decline in newspaper sales due to the rise of TV, the growth of digital news through the internet and social media.
6) Why is a free press important in a democracy like the UK?
A free press implies that journalists (those that write for newspapers) and newspaper editors can edit content free of intervention from Government influence.

Which newspapers are trying to move their readers from print to digital? Why is the switch to digital attractive for newspaper companies?
The shift from print to digital at virtually all publications will be radically sped up. A lot of publishers are simply going to run out of cash. Moreover the environmental damage it takes to produce all these newspapers are a lot and putting them online is much cheaper and beneficial for the environment.
Do you think most newspapers will survive the next 10 years? Why?
No I don't think they will survive as due to the rise in social media use, newspapers have already decreased in use drastically therefore as the media develops the number of paper things will most likely be wiped out completely.
